Vocalist Paramore: 'We Do not Need Writing Songs About Sex, Drugs, And Rock N' Roll '
Washington D.C. - Paramore lead singer, Hayley Williams, claimed that he felt no need to write a song about rock music jargon that is familiar, 'sex, drugs, and rock' n roll. '
Hayle said, that he was not trying to "be cool" with cursing in his songs or try to attract older listeners with reference drugs and sex. Instead, Hayley said that he prefers to talk about "normal life issues."
"I do not really feel that I should say something about sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll. I do not need to be cursed. And I do not say that I was a perfect angel, but I think it would be very dishonest, like, 'This is me trying to be cool. Maybe we'll reach the older fans if we insert swear words'. I want to talk about the problems of a normal life, "Hayley said as quoted by NME.
Hayley also commented on the problems afflicting the band lately, and says that when he thinks to dissolve the band, he imagined the people who want to be in his position as the lead singer of Paramore.
"Surely there are days that make me like, 'Did I do the right thing?' But then you like seeing your friends and be aware that there may be a million children who are sitting in school, hoping that they do what you do, "said Hayley.
Meanwhile, Paramore will release his new album, Paramore, throughout the world, today (8/4) local time. The album became the first album since the resignation of two founding band members, brothers Josh and Zack Farro, in the year 2010.
